Welcome to Smart Start North Central Oklahoma

Smart Start North Central Oklahoma believes that every child deserves a chance to be successful in life. The early years of life create the foundation for a lifetime of active learning and will have a direct impact on future capabilities as a student, a worker, a citizen, a spouse and a parent. How well these foundations are constructed is a shared responsibility of communities, families and schools.

Monday, December 5, 2011 – watch the Channel 9 coverage of our Oklahoma "Messages Project," a component of Smart Start North Central Oklahoma's F.A.T.H.E.R. (Fathers Acting To Heal, Educate and Reconnect) program.

Our Coalition

img_coalition1We are a coalition of people in the community committed to conveying the importance of the early years of life. We serve as a catalyst for changing systems through public awareness, policy development, education, resource sharing and training. We partner with parents, educators, business and community leaders, churches, childcare, civic groups and volunteers to accomplish goals determined through community assessment.

Coalition Membership

img_coalition2Since we are a grassroots effort, we have over 65 volunteers who work to carry out the mission of our organization by serving on our board of directors and/or various work committees from family support to literacy to health to public awareness. If you are interested in being a catalyst for change on behalf of young children and families, please contact us by clicking here or call us at 405-377-2786.
